The project transforms an existing abandoned site into a school and care campus. The programme combines a nursery school and housing for the elderly into one project.
The site is a former convent complex built in the 1950’s. The former convent is not of an exceptional historical value but the city council asked to preserve and integrate the main convent building into the project nonetheless.
The design of the building is based on the implantation of new volumes in relation to the retained convent in a specific urban context. The project is an integration of contemporary architecture and the existing convent into a new complex.
